The Texas-based internet service provider (Grande Communication) offers cable and fiber broadband services only in Texas. More than 1 million people in Texas can benefit from this service, even though it’s a small company.
Pricing and Packages
300 Mbps
For $35.99 per month, you get (up to) 300Mbps download speed on their entry-level fiber plan, which is a great deal. Streaming high-definition video is no problem for this. No bandwidth issues will arise while playing online games if you don’t have too many devices connected or too many bandwidth-intensive processes running simultaneously.
600 Mbps
Those who have a large household with many devices but don’t tend to go overboard with the number of simultaneous connections or streams will do well with the $49.99 middle-tier plan. It can handle high-speed gaming, massive downloads, and even 4K streaming.
One Gigabyte of Internet Access
For the initial 12 months, the most expensive plan of Grande communication is available for just $69.99 per month. There’s nothing you can’t accomplish with this strategy. For large houses with many devices connected and in use simultaneously, it has enough bandwidth to support it.
The prices listed above are only for internet service; additional equipment charges will be added to each bill. If you choose to use their Wi-Fi router and modem, you’ll also have to pay other taxes and fees, as well.

An 8-hour battery backup is also retained free of charge with the Optimum phone package (Astound phone equipment required). There is also a one-time charge of $59.99 for a 24-hour battery backup.
Management and Performance
It’s common for internet service providers to actively manage their networks and let customers know that advertised speeds are the maximum possible and subject to change based on various factors, including the user’s geographic location.
The best part is that they don’t have data caps, so you don’t have to worry about additional fees, lowered speeds, or other measures commonly taken by ISPs when users exceed their monthly data allotment.
Fees
Astound Broadband may be a deal-breaker for some potential customers because they aren’t exactly forthcoming. Astound Broadband’s website is difficult to navigate, and you’ll likely be referred to their sales team instead.
Fees for the use of the network and its upkeep.
The monthly fee is $3.17. Maintenance and network upgrades are included in the monthly fee. Astound isn’t the only ISP that charges these kinds of fees.
Other fees
Convenience fees of $6.95 apply to customers who choose to pay by phone, so it’s best to use other payment methods instead.
Although Astound Broadband does not provide a comprehensive list of all possible fees, they provide a guide in which possible fees are listed.
